The playground
You are on a playground,
Seesaws, ropes and joy abound.
Are you ready to play?
Are you willing to go up?
To go down?
For the playground to function
Both must wear the crown.
What do you gain?
Can you still see yourself?
Or are you starting to drain?
If you pull harder, the other can fall.
In the playground, both must catch the ball.
For the cost of not doing so,
Is not a game at all.
Hold the other’s hand,
Accept and understand.
For change cannot happen
If that’s what you demand.
There are lines to bear in mind.
If you cross them,
What you seek you may not find.
